Thousands of visitors came to the Lake Night Festival in Konstanz on Saturday. The highlight of the evening was the spectacular music fireworks show, which was ignited from ships on Lake Constance.
Street musicians, fire artists, and dancers turned the Konstanz lakeside into a large outdoor stage on Saturday. The Konstanz Lake Night Festival was celebrated on and by the water. The glittering highlight in the late evening was traditionally the music-synchronized fireworks display. It is considered one of the largest lake fireworks in Europe. Tens of thousands of people came to the festival grounds in Konstanz.
SWR reporter Ramon Babazadeh described on Saturday morning what makes the atmosphere of the Konstanz Lake Night Festival special:
The festival mile along the Konstanz shore stretched over four kilometers: It was celebrated on Seestraße, in the city garden, in the harbor, and in Little Venice. Visitors could only enter the festival grounds with a corresponding admission ticket.
During the day, there were fire shows, water acrobatics, games for children, and plenty of music. In the evening, SWR presented “Papi’s Pumpels” on stage in the city garden, the quirky schlager band from Stockach (Konstanz district). And in the party area of Little Venice, various DJs performed, with “Fast Boy” as the top act after the fireworks.
The atmosphere was already lively on the shore on Saturday afternoon.
Highlight: The grand lake fireworks
The sparkling highlight of the Lake Night Festival was traditionally the music fireworks show at 10:15 pm. In 2024, the neighboring cities of Konstanz and Kreuzlingen (Switzerland) staged the sky magic together. This year’s theme for the Lake Night Festival fireworks was “Stars in concert.”
Looking back at the fireworks from the previous year:
