In collaboration with the city government team, the Kaohsiung City Police Bureau is introducing AI technology into its investigation platform and security patrols to crack down on street violence and crack down on AB vehicles for public safety. This includes partnering with a KTV in Fengshan to implement a “3D security patrol warning system,” utilizing AI image analysis and sound detection to monitor abnormal noise levels in the vicinity and provide proactive alerts, effectively exposing the presence of “AB cars.” The police department stated that to create a smart city in Kaohsiung, law enforcement agencies are brainstorming ideas in smart security. If they can combine “surveillance cameras,” “object recognition,” “data analysis,” and “pattern setting” to enhance crime detection capabilities, and integrate a “real-time alert” mechanism, immediate warnings can be issued when an incident occurs, serving as the basis for deploying, handling, and initiating police responses.
Kaohsiung is committed to promoting technology-based law enforcement and smart policing, continuously advancing systems such as the “3D security patrol system,” “AI intelligence integration investigation platform,” and “AI calculation traffic accident vehicle speed system,” integrating AI technology into policing applications, and receiving awards for smart cities domestically and internationally. The City Police Bureau pointed out that in addition to police applications such as traffic accidents, by further analyzing AI with limited surveillance footage, they can also predict cases of street violence. They have selected a well-known large-scale KTV as a demonstration site to cooperate in the concept verification of the “3D security patrol warning system.” This system utilizes AI image analysis and sound detection to identify abnormal behaviors, provide proactive warning notifications, and allow for the rapid deployment of police forces to handle cases of street violence. In addition, the city government is actively promoting the “Asia Bay 5G AIoT Innovation Park,” focusing on the surrounding areas of the new Asian Bay District in Kaohsiung, including regions such as the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, Kaohsiung Pop Music Center, Kaohsiung Port Passenger Transport Center, and Kaohsiung Software Park. Yesterday, they invited the AI visual giant Linker Vision team to exchange and share technology with officials and police officers, engaging in discussions and collaborations.
