Taiwanese singer, Joy Yau, has made a comeback after a five-year hiatus with a new album. She attended a gratitude dinner yesterday, spending Peace Night with 100 elders from the Taoyuan Sunlight Center.

Yau performed her new song “Your Support,” expressing gratitude to her mother for tirelessly sewing all her stage costumes before she turned 20. She also sang her original song “Smooth Sailing,” thanking fans for their unwavering support. Additionally, she collaborated with her husband on a sweet new song called “Full of Happiness.”
Behind the Scenes Challenges
During the preparation for her new music video, Yau faced challenging conditions. The director required her to do her makeup in the early morning hours, followed by filming at the beach with a large crew. Despite walking in the desert, enduring sandy winds, and even facing rain in the mountains, Yau maintained her professionalism.

Fortunately, before continuing filming downhill, Yau silently prayed for good weather. Miraculously, just like the title of her song “Smooth Sailing,” the weather cleared up, requiring the use of sun umbrellas for sun protection. After two to three years of hard work, Yau and her team are ready to release the new album, which she eagerly shared with the elders on Peace Night.
